While waiting for the pictures to recover on another freeware I downloaded (Hopefully it’s safe. Got it from CNet), I was planning for our final research implementation for this friday with Safari, and looking through my brother’s works. Pretty impressive. Got his permission. Gonna share one of his nice ones here. Not his best, but I like it.

9th June 2009 @ 01.09am

Place : 44 Court street Brooklyn
Time: 8.24 p.m

The little boy in blue..
he ran to his mother.. in outstretched arms..
sobbing endlessly..
the marks evident on his thin legs..
through the pain.. she saw again..
the abuse..

Place :West Africa E. 45/3
Time : 2.05 a.m

This 16 year old..
staring into the ceiling..
she wonders about her fate.
Being born with HIV..
Never knowing when she will breathe her last..
And she coughed up yet again..
On her hands she sees with fear ..Blood.

Place : Galle Road, Colombo 04
Time : 4.47 p.m

She looked all around her..
nothing but devastation..
nothing but death..
from the shorelines.. to the heart of the city..
tears in her eyes.. pain in her heart..
she can neither scream.. nor cry..
she can do no more..
lying next to her…she sees..
her two year old boy.. her seven year old girl.. lifeless.

Place : 45 Tambaram Madras
Time : 01.00 a.m

She leaves the hotel.. crossing the busy roads
again another night..
sacrificing sleep, time and love..
sacrificing herself…
she pulls her hand out of her pocket..
and she sees..
money..
she sees.. hope.. that her child will not starve again
tonight..

Place : Where you’re at.
Time : Now

What do you see?
